The Bremerton Sockeyes are pleased to announce they have added Steve Soto as the Head Coach and General Manager of the Sockeyes, who will begin play in the USPHL Premier in the 2024-25 season. Soto brings with him a robust resume filled with extensive coaching and playing experiences that promise to drive the Sockeyes to new heights.
Steve Soto joins the Sockeyes from the Ogden Mustangs, where his strategic insights were instrumental in enhancing their program. As a former player, Soto displayed his prowess in the Western States Hockey League with teams such as the Alaska Sinbad Sailors and the Flagstaff Mountaineers, before transitioning to a collegiate career at Weber State University. His comprehensive understanding of the game at various levels provides him with a unique perspective that is invaluable in coaching young athletes.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach/GM Steve Soto to our team," said Andy Eustis, President of the Bremerton Sockeyes. "His commitment to the sport and his proven ability to develop top-tier players align perfectly with our goals for the Sockeyes as we step into the USPHL Premier arena. His leadership qualities and strategic approach to the game are exactly what we need at this pivotal time."
